MVD Self-service tag kiosks
Save time and renew your tag in as little as 60 seconds by visiting one of our self-service tag kiosks throughout Cobb County. Just be sure you meet the following vehicle tag renewal requirements before visiting a kiosk:
> Your vehicle(s) must be registered in a participating county.
> You must have a valid Georgia State driver’s license.
> Your address must be correct on your renewal notice.
> You must have proof of liability insurance on file (if applicable).
> You must have a Vehicle Emission Inspection on file (if applicable).
Special Motor Vehicle Policies for COVID-19 Relief

Our Motor Vehicle Division bills, collects, and distributes ad valorem property taxes for:
Tractor trailers under IRP
In addition, this division operates as a tag agent on behalf of the Georgia Department of Revenue. As such, they enforce state and local laws regarding vehicle registration requirements, insurance, emissions and mobile home ownership. This includes collecting fees associated with those regulations.
Revenue is distributed to all taxing authorities on a weekly basis. Taxes are collected not only for the county, Department of Revenue and Board of Education, but for all six cities in Cobb County.
