Over the years, we’ve had several Audis and we always bring them to Precision for work once Audicare/ the manufacturer warranty is out. I honestly can’t suggest Precision enough!

* Scheduling is always super easy and available when needed.
* Pricing is not only fair, but they’ll often provide you options (what you can do vs what they’d personally do, etc).
* They’re just nice folks, always easy to deal with.
* The work is good. I’ve never had a single problem with anything they’ve done for us over the years.

Also worth noting is that as a woman, it can be intimidating to go into any mechanic. Let’s be real: you can be knowledgable, smart, or whatever else, but we’ve all hand mechanics talk down us or try to scam us. I have NEVER had that experience at Precision. In fact, even when I ask what are likely very dumb questions, I’m treated with respect and given great, helpful information.

I’m taking my car in this week because something new and exciting is needing their magic touch, but I know my car will be in good hands.

Great automotive shop with friendly staff and service you can trust. I’ve been taking my vehicles here since they opened back in 2014 for everything except warranty work which the dealer had to do. I’m on my second Mercedes AMG and totally trust them to maintain this precision beast! I recommend anyone to do the same unless you want to pay for overpriced oil changes and other general service from the dealerships. You can trust that if it’s a job that can’t do correctly they will tell you up front that it needs to be taken somewhere that can properly address your problem. They won’t BS or overcharge you which is hard to find these days. I don’t like to cut corners when repaires are needed and I trust these guys to order factory or better than factory parts. I highly recommend this shop for any of your automotive needs, they will take care of you!

The team at Precision is top notch. They are honest, trustworthy, and easy to work with. Our family and company bring our vehicles to Precision every time!

These guys were my mechanic of choice when I lived in Bakersfield. I have since moved away and have not been able to find an honest mechanic that does such good work, especially on German vehicles. I wish I could get them to pick their shop up and move with me. If I ever have to have something major done, such as a timing belt change, I will make the drive to Bakersfield from my current location to have them take care of it.

So I’ve had this electric issue since I bought my AMG MBZ e55 , Bill was able to trace it down, and fix it ! FINALLY , My car is like new again ! Thanks Bill, Elizebeth and Crew, I knew my baby was in good hands, thanks again

Wow seriously the best mechanics in town! Bill is a very honest mechanic, he gave me a great and and fixed my mustang in no time. I didn’t have to wait long and they checked my car immediately. Thanks again!!

Why would I spend two hours driving to Bakersfield for a car repair? Read to the end… Our Mercedes-Benz experienced a well-known problem with the balance shaft sprocket, a problem which requires engine removal for repair. I have 3 local independent shops (with excellent reputations) and a Mercedes dealer in my area. All of them quoted the job, at rates I thought were excessive. A little research showed that this same repair was being done elsewhere for substantially less money. My statewide search ended at Precision Automotive, a shop with excellent reviews and a warranty twice that offered by my local shops. And the price was around HALF what my local shops were quoting! Liz and Bill were patient, careful to explain, and respectful of my knowledge and experience. Most luxury shop owners depend on the ignorance and affluence of their customers, and charge accordingly. That’s not the case here. On all occasions they spent the time it took to make sure I was well informed. The car was delivered running perfectly, and the entire experience at Precision left us very satisfied. Why would I drive to Bakersfield for a car repair? Because it’s worth it…

This is a fantastic and honest shop. From my first visit the shop has surprised me how professional, experienced and helpful they are. I had a pre-vehicle inspection done for a used Mini Cooper S. They spotted a few issues with brakes/rotors to address with the dealer. They even provided me a quote for the service which was less than I have ever been given for any car I’ve ever had. Anyone who knows Mini Coopers, knows these are expensive cars! Luckily, the dealer took care of it, but this shop is now my go to. Already been back for an synthetic oil change and they were kind enough to look over my brakes/rotors the dealer fixed and give it the okay.

Quit reading this and make an appointment. This shop is fair priced, knowledgeable and run by a local family.

Bill and his wife are extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy. Paid thousands for AC repair, only to have it “repaired” for a very short term. I would not recommend this establishment, unless you enjoy throwing away money.

I own a 1996 Rialta and live 250 miles from the closest VW dealer, in Reno. In 2008, my Rialta’s air conditioning stopped functioning and I took it to the Reno VW dealer and was charged just over $800 to install a $64 switch, then was told the air conditioning would only work when the engine revved at 55mph or above. Say what??! The air never worked and I could not find another mechanic who could fix it right away. In 2011, I took the Rialta to a recommended indie in Chico (800 mile round-trip). He got the air working, but by the following summer, it was blowing warm air again. I checked the forums, but the Rialta air seemed such a mystery. For years, with two dogs, I drove at night or in early mornings, to avoid the heat of the day.

Was preparing to take the Rialta to a friend’s shop in Fresno, a 330-mile round-trip with Tioga Pass open, but because of all the snow, Tioga was not open, turning the trip to Fresno into a 750 mile round-trip x 2. He was pretty sure it needed a new compressor, then said it might take awhile to find the leaks. Checked out roadhaus.com. Didn’t want to go to Los Angeles or San Francisco, so focused on Bakersfield and found Precision Automotive. A friend followed me in his car, across the Sierra Nevada to Precision. They were not able to get to it for a week, but called me with everything that needed to be done as soon as they had inspected it. It did not need a compressor, so that was a savings. It was out of refrigerant and needed hoses, o-rings, expansion and service valves, etc. I also wanted the timing belt changed as well. 80,000 miles and sitting out in the desert for 15 years, the belts were profusely cracked (I asked them to save the parts so I could check them out). Mechanic Seth did a thorough and excellent job. Precision might be a little pricier as they are a high performance German import shop but their expertise is worth it–they get it done right, one time–a huge savings in my time since I have to spend two days just getting the vehicle there and back. They know VWs–and will work on the Rialta Eurovan engine, a rare combo. Well worth the 11-hour round-trip across the Sierra.

Wonderful service experience. Took my 2011 BMW 535i to have an oil service which included an overall inspection. A couple of minor items were identified but the kicker was me being made aware that my brake pads had more life left than the onboard service indicator indicated so it was reset saving me potentially hundreds of dollars in unnecessary work in the near future. Very honest, professional and sensibly priced service center. Highly recommended.

I broke down on a Saturday night driving on Highway 5 between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The closest city where we could get a rental car to get the family home safe was Bakersfield, so we called AAA and got towed there. Since my Volkswagen Eurovan wasn’t going anywhere until repaired, I needed to find a good shop in Bakersfield that could do the work.

Fortunately, I found Precision Automotive on Yelp and we dropped the van off in their parking lot that night with a note that I would be back Monday when they opened to get the service started. I left a message and Bill and Liz, the owners, called me twice on Monday morning on my drive back to Bakersfield to make sure they had all the information they needed to get the repair started ASAP.

In addition to the repair, I asked Bill to check for anything else that needed attention. That morning, while I waited, they did a thorough check on all engine components and gave me a comprehensive list of recommendations with a clear breakdown of parts and labor costs. There were no items that I didn’t expect or suspected might not be necessary. I’ve had a few other local mechanics in Los Angeles tell me I needed things which I knew I didn’t. Not Bill. He and his team are first class, honest, open, and happy to spend a moment discussing the repairs and even taking the time to explain how to perform some simpler repairs myself.

All work was done with a high level of quality, in a timely manner, and any minor additional costs were promptly communicated to make sure I approved before they performed the work. When complete, not only was my van running great, but it was looking great as well since they had cleaned both outside and inside the car. Bill helped me return my rental car to the Bakersfield airport (about 30 miles round trip back to his shop) and I was on my way home.

I can’t recommend Precision Automotive enough. If I am ever back in Bakersfield and need anything for my van, I am stopping there. I wish they were located in Los Angeles- I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I love coming to Precision Automotive for them to take care of my car. It’s not easy to work on an Audi A8L, and it definitely isn’t easy going to the dealer with Audi’s astronomical prices! Some work I can do myself, but I’d rather take it to a professional for more difficult things. This is the only place in town that I would trust with my vehicle with and I am glad that I have been able to give these wonderful people my business over the past few months. Bill and Liz are very warm and welcoming and their shop is very clean. Bill and his guys are true Audi experts in my eyes, and have helped to keep my transporter A8 at 187000 miles running like new. Their prices are definitely unbeatable anywhere and I will continue to come to them in the near and far future! I recommend them to any VW/Audi/Foreign car owner or just any regular car in general. Very honest and caring people! Take care!

Bill was upfront and clear about what was wrong with my Mini and how much it would cost. He even prioritized the repairs in relation to my car’s needs. I got a quote, the repairs and they even washed my car and got it back to me within two days. I’ll definitely back for all future maintenance.

I just picked up my car from Precision – it is so wonderful to find a first class automotive shop in Bakersfield. William and Liz, the owners, were extremely professional, kind and honest. I would highly recommend them to everyone needing Automotive repairs! Thank you for your prompt courteous service.

My hubby took our CHEVY Trailblazer here after calling around for quotes. While this shop specializes in European cars, they were willing to work on ours. We worried that they would be the most expensive given their specialty. The exhaust manifold was cracked big time and needed to be replaced. Surprisingly they offered the best quote in the area. They were in constant communication with us on the status of our vehicle. They parked our vehicle inside for the night so no one would break into it, since it had to stay overnight. They even replaced our low beam headlight bulbs bc I had bought them but was having a hard time removing the front grill to change them. When we picked up our vehicle, we noticed that even washed it for me!!! That was so unexpected and kind of them! And the cherry on the top was that the total charge was less than the quote, phew! I highly recommend these guys, I’ll be back for sure.

I have used several mechanics in the past, and I can say that they are, hands down, the best I’ve ever encountered. Bill will take the time to explain what needs to be done and will do exactly what he promises. When he gives you a quote, THAT is what you will pay. How refreshing. A mechanic who doesn’t try to sell you stuff you don’t need and is happy to have you as a customer. What? Precision Auto should be in all the top lists of places to do business with. Even if I moved out of the state of California, I would ship my car to Precision Auto for service. They are that good. I highly recommend Precision Auto to anyone who wants auto service done right the first time.

I thought I had finally found a place to bring my car instead of driving all the way to Temecula. I have been highly disappointed by car services, customer service in Bakersfield, CA. All I can do is shake my head. Although my experience was long, drawn out with a last minute needed oil change that lead to more work that was needed I had a pleasant experience. It was welcoming and inviting and family ran which made it better. I had to leave my car for more service and they got me an uber home, I was totally excited. They called me back and told me that the originally issue was not the case and they found the problem and I said to handle it. My hours are crazy so I needed time so that my car could get picked up. Well I didn’t get a call for payment and today their service advisor called me and told me I needed to get my car today. I waited for a call for payment yesterday and I got nothing. So telling me I have no choice to get my car today, I am left to say wtf? Bill came on the phone and tried to reason with me. I’m not only at work but I’m trying to think of great now where the hell do I bring my car now ? I’m handing stuff at work and trying to tell them to just leave my car with the keys hidden and they tell me theft is high, so my blood is boiling inside. Bill says they will drop the car off into my drive way. I was so shocked. Still mad I didn’t want to accept it but I have no choice knowing so little people here in Bakersfield. So I have to think about my car services but I would say they do go above and beyond.
